JJ AUTO PARTS Policy
Acceptance of Conditions of Sale
The conditions of sale below establish the agreement between our customers and JJ Auto Parts. Accepting delivery of goods in accordance with our warranty conditions, as stated below, acknowledges the acceptance of these conditions of sale and warranty conditions.
At JJ's, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. Our warranty policy is designed to ensure your satisfaction and confidence in our products.
The JJ Auto Parts warranty is in addition to the rights and remedies conferred on consumers by the Australian Consumer Law. The warranty does not affect those rights or remedies, except to the extent their application may lawfully be excluded. Individual parts listed are subject to stock availability. No further offers or discounts apply.
JJ Auto Parts offers the parts to the purchaser, and the purchaser agrees to purchase the goods pursuant to the terms and conditions set out below. The agreed terms and conditions shall be read to limit our liability to the full extent permitted under Australian Consumer Law.
JJ Auto Parts offers 3 different types of coverage
This will be shown on your proof of purchase invoice underneath the part you have purchased
Standard Warranty
- All parts sold come with a standard 3 months parts only warranty unless advised otherwise.
- If the part becomes faulty, we will either repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of the defective part at our discretion.
- In lieu of parts being discounted, it has been agreed by the customer at the time of sale.
- This was purchased at the customer's discretion without labour warranty coverage; this is a decision of the customer, and for items purchased without labour warranty, no labour warranty can be applied.
- No labour or freight costs are covered under this warranty.
Silver Warranty
- 12 months parts only warranty
- If the part becomes faulty, we will either repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of the defective part at our discretion.
- No labour, freight or towing costs are covered under this warranty.
Gold Warranty
- 12 months parts and labour warranty
- If the part becomes faulty, we will either repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of the defective part at our discretion.
- Labour coverage, a maximum of $100 (incl. GST) labour rate per hour is payable on any warranty claims.
- Publications such as times guide and dealer information will be used to determine set times for labour times.
- We will not pay above the set times guides for a labour claim; if your mechanic is charging higher than the set time, this will not be covered by JJ's.
- We will not be liable to do the job ourselves or recommend where to get it fixed at this time rate.
- All labour claims must be approved in advance by JJ Auto Parts Warranty Manager.
- No freight or towing costs are covered under this warranty.
Part Type Warranty
Warranty Terms & Conditions for Engines Sold
- This engine must be installed by a licensed mechanic and filled with the manufacturer’s correct or equivalent oil.
- The vehicle must be serviced as per manufacturer guidelines; if not serviced or incorrectly serviced, warranties will be void.
- Warranty does not apply to accessories and non-standard inclusions or any part that is attached to the engine, including but not limited to turbochargers, switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, and manifolds.
- To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your engine, it is strongly recommended that all relevant new parts be fitted at the time of installation. If an old or worn part-such as but not limited to the cooling components (e.g., water pump, thermostat, radiator, oil cooler, EGR valve & cooler ETC)- if not replaced during installation and later causes the engine to fail, any resulting warranty claim will unfortunately be voided. Taking these precautions will help protect your investment and ensure optimal engine performance.
- All seals should be replaced at the time of installation; if not done and there are oil or water leaks, these leaks are not covered by the warranty.
- Heat tabs have been fitted to all engines for warranty purposes; if removed or melted in any way, this voids all warranty.
Warranty Terms & Conditions for Transmissions & Gearboxes Sold
- This transmission/gearbox must be installed by a licensed mechanic and filled with the manufacturer’s correct or equivalent oil.
- Modern transmissions require programming using dealership-grade software; we are not liable for the calibration of transmissions.
- It is a requirement that new transmission service kits & fluids, including oil coolers, be fitted.
- Oil coolers on supplied transmissions are not tested and need to be replaced with a new unit.
- Any damage caused by incorrect oil and/or programming will void all warranties.
- The vehicle must be serviced as per manufacturer guidelines; if not serviced or incorrectly serviced, warranties will be void.
- All seals should be replaced at the time of installation; if not done and there are oil or water leaks, these leaks are not covered by the warranty.
- The warranty on the transmission/gearbox covers normal registered vehicle use only; it does not cover unregistered vehicles or tuned vehicles.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
If there is an issue with an item purchased from JJ Auto Parts, it is the customer's responsibility to cease operation and report immediately. Continued use will void all warranties.

Important Information: All warranty claims must be accompanied by the following information:
- Valid proof of purchase (invoice number)
- Diagnostic report in writing from your mechanic
- Installation invoice
- Videos/picture evidence of the fault
JJ's reserves the right to refuse any warranty claim that does not meet the above criteria.
Additional Warranty Information
- All parts returned for warranty or any other reason must still be complete as they were sold, not altered or dismantled. The warranty/refund/exchange will not apply if parts are altered, dismantled, painted, or have been otherwise tampered with by a person not authorised by JJ Auto Parts.
- The warranty cover does not extend to damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, natural disaster, or act of God or other external causes, or to damage caused by using the parts inconsistently with their intended purpose.
- We will not be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage, loss of income, or downtime due to the failure of any part sold.
- The limit of liability can not exceed the original costs of the goods sold.
- All repairs made without written authorization from JJ Auto Parts will be the responsibility of the customer.
- The warranty starts from the invoice date shown on the invoice.
- Any repaired or replaced product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period only; the warranty does not restart.
- This warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
- Warranty is from the date of purchase not installation date or delivered date.
Terms and Conditions of Sale
- Incorrect goods or goods not required must be returned within 14 days from the invoice date. Please note additional freight charges will be incurred. Refundable goods incur a 25% surcharge on the original price. Returns after 14 days are at JJ Auto Parts' discretion.
- Refunds: Cash refunds will be done on the same day of purchase; anytime after that, you will be refunded via cheque or bank deposit.
- No Rego or VIN Supplied for Verify Process: JJ Auto Parts has asked all our customers for the rego or VIN at the time of ordering to complete the verification process to ensure the correct part is supplied. If the customer does not supply this information, it is at JJ Auto Parts' discretion to not refund freight charges and/or charge a restocking fee of 25%.
- All goods remain the property of JJ Auto Parts until payment in full has been received.
- Goods not required or wrongly supplied parts must be returned within 14 days of sale for a full refund (freight cost will be at the customer’s expense if goods are no longer required, and a restocking fee will apply).
